Steve grew up in Ottawa, hanging around the high school music room after classes (sometime during) and was greatly influenced by the joy of playing in concert bands.  His first band instrument was trombone but he “rescued” a Silvertone acoustic from his uncle’s bathroom during a family visit to Buffalo and has never stopped loving the guitar since.

Inspired early by bands such as Lighthouse, Chicago and Downchild, where horns were prominent, he has enjoyed playing in groups large and small all along.  Lately he holds the prestigious guitar chair in the renowned MegaCity Swing Band led by world-famous instructor Gary Martin.
